Talk to Us

We like hearing from readers. Many of the clearest improvements on Wellbeing Notes started with an email from someone who found a sentence confusing, spotted an outdated detail or asked a question we had not thought to cover.

How to reach us

The simplest way is email: mail@nhcommissiononstatusofwomen.org. We are a small team writing in our spare hours, so replies can take a few days, and longer during holidays. We read everything, even when we cannot answer each message individually.

There is no phone line, office or postal address for visitors. Email keeps things simple for a team of our size and gives us time to look into your message properly.

Good reasons to write

  • Corrections. If something looks wrong, out of date or unclear, tell us which page and which part. A link and a short quote help us find it quickly.
  • Topic ideas. Is there an everyday health question you would like explained in plain words? Sleep, skin, heart basics and daily habits are our main areas.
  • Accessibility. If a page is hard to read on your device or with assistive technology, let us know what you were using.
  • Privacy requests. Use "privacy" in the subject line for anything covered by our privacy page.
  • Using our content. Ask before republishing more than a short quoted passage, as set out in our website terms.

What we cannot help with

We are not medical professionals, so we are unable to answer personal health questions, interpret test results, suggest doses or say whether a symptom is serious. Please speak to a GP, pharmacist or other professional for that, and call your local emergency number if you need urgent help. Our page When to See a Professional has a short guide to who can help with what.

For the same reason, please do not send medical records, photos of symptoms or other sensitive personal details. We would rather not hold that information at all.

Before you write

You might find your answer quicker elsewhere on the site. A Tour for Newcomers explains how the site is organised, and Who Writes These Guides covers who writes here and how articles come together.

We are grateful to everyone who takes a moment to write. Every message helps make the site a little more useful for the next reader.

This opens your email app with the message ready to send to mail@nhcommissiononstatusofwomen.org. Nothing is stored on this site.

Before you write in

Emailing us: the usual questions

Could you look at my symptoms and say if they matter?

We are not able to, as none of us is medically trained. A pharmacist or GP can help, and emergency services are there for anything urgent.

How long will a reply take?

Usually a few days. We write in spare time, so holidays can slow things down.

I have spotted an error. What details help?

The page address and a short quote of the part that looks wrong are ideal.

Are topic suggestions welcome?

Please do. Everyday questions about sleep, sun care, heart basics and daily habits are especially welcome.

  • A clear subject line, such as correction, idea or privacy
  • No medical records or photos of symptoms
  • How you would like to be addressed in our reply
